This Thursday will see the biggest public sector strike since the Pensions Dispute in 2011, with teachers, civil servants, council workers, firefighters and many more from PCS, Unite, GMB, Unison, NUT, FBU, Nipsa all out on strike. For more info check the PCS website regularly for updates.

In DWP Sheffield branch, there will be pickets at all workplaces from 7am-9.30/10am – please come and join in the picket to show how strong we are in our fight!

For those that want to, pickets will be having breakfast in the Bankers Draft (in Hartshead Square) from 10-11, and then moving up to Devonshire Green for 11-11.30 to assemble for the march, which ends in Barkers Pool and there is then a rally from 12.30-1.30pm.

We encourage all members to take part in these activities to show how PCS are a force to be reckoned with in the union movement.

If any members wish to access the Hardship Fund for wages lost for the strike, please visit this page. We also encourage members to set up a standing order of as much as they can afford to the Hardship Fund, to help out colleagues in future strikes.
